Tree Plantaion
Tree Plantaion
Vast swathes of lands in both rural and urban areas have been fast losing their green cover. This depletion of green cover is detrimental to the subsequent generations of Indians. As an initiative to help restore the depleting green cover, Avani foundation plants saplings and nurtures them to maturity in both rural and urban areas.
We plant saplings of a wide variety to further our aim of cultivating vegetative diversity.
The foundation has resolutely taken upon itself to contribute its earnest efforts in the fight against climate change through tree plantation on extensive swathes of lands earmarked by the Governments. We believe that the initiative will help subsequent generations of Indians to live in an environmentally sustainable ecosystem.
Ultimately, we must remember that improving the green cover of the planet will not only enhance its carbon sink but will also help replenish its groundwater table.
We also strive to create a positive impact by spreading awareness of the importance of enhancing the planet’s green cover.
Tree plantation not only enhances the rural environment but is also a significant step towards cultivating the practice of urban forestry.
Our tree plantation exercise is therefore not only an exercise aimed at ecological restoration but also at promoting biodiversity both in rural and urban areas.
